Remember that you are talking to humans, they are flexible. You were being adversarial. If you could explain them in advance what you were trying to "read between lines", I'm pretty sure most/all of them would have chang

> We are VC-funded ($700k pre-seed) > >= $200k Does this mean that right now you can only pay salaries for 2-3 devs for a year?

Every next company hires you for your particular expertise that you are able to apply from day one. None of them are interested to invest in your growth. You do it on your personal time.

I was expecting the usage of Unreal Engine. Last time I checked the minimal app was more than 200MB.

Think about providing your solution as a standalone/offline desktop app as well (I guess Electron-based).

One common misconception about senior engineers - akin to "promotion to management", some assume that seniors should be non-ICs (non-individual-contributors), should "multiply" their force "upon" others, organi

Right, the latest version seems to be available through MSYS... I remember there was a huge version gap for *nix vs Windows earlier. I guess I remember the native Windows distribution, which is not available nowadays at all.

Another solution could be translating C++ source to Object Pascal before building. It might not be a full C++ but still an acceptable solution.

Pro tip: Ageism is rampant. Leave only the latest ~10 years of experience in your CV. Remove PowerBuilder, VB, DOS and similar keywords. Remove years from your education.

I wish it had C++ support as well, akin to C++Builder. Pascal syntax is off-putting for many.

Cross-country hiring is done through B2B contracting even within Europe. Contractors send invoices and receive payments through regular wire transfers.

Please don't do it. Target US clients for US-grade compensation. Advocate your superior talent, not the dumped price. Most people in low-salary locations are used to low quality of life and they just continue living that life. They don
