Obligatory: but then you have to live in Detroit. His story is interesting from a handyman/do-it-yourself standpoint, but it doesn't seem all that pleasant.

How would you even construct a law that bans adblockers but not accessibility features?

One issue is that the $800 that keeps getting quoted as the offered compensation was not cash. It was $800 in vouchers for more United flights that have redemption restrictions and a 1-year time limit. I guess it's worth something to

Yea, that's what the E-fund is for. What percentage of the people declaring medical bankruptcy had health insurance and an E-fund to cover the deductible plus 6 month's expenses?

I'm unconvinced that this measurement of income mobility is a good thing, and I'm confounded that it gets talked about and referenced so often. The frequency at which I'm hearing about this makes me suspicious that it's

I agree that it's not as big a deal as the host is making it out to be. People drink and have sex in hotels and AirBnB listings all the time. But it's worth pointing out that AirBnB requires that you declare the number of people

I rent hotels and leave "condoms, tissues, and empty bottles of wine" all the time. That's what the staff is paid to clean up.

I left them out because the purpose of schooling is not to serve the administrators. In any event, MIT grads may graduate with debt, but I think (as a whole) they'll probably manage just fine.
