I suspect insuring planes flying to/from/through Belarus just got a lot more expensive.

I was all for this truck until I saw the range. As someone who has to run the heat in their car 3/4 of the year, I don't consider an EV with a sub 400-mile rated range anything but a toy.

What happened in Texas was the sum of all of its past elections and policy decisions. Texas has the government that it wants and rightfully deserves and I’m not about to interfere with that.

Are we still pretending that EM hasn't been openly using the assets of a publicly-traded company to manipulate cryptocurrency markets?

1/6 looked pretty easy. It also looked like it was pretty easy to catch the most gods-awfully expensive intelligence agencies in the world completely flat-footed.

The future of work is whatever employees will tolerate. CEO’s are less than worthless without competent people to boss around.

I find it hilarious that this article is on a SaaS site's blog and has no sign-in button. Maybe I missed the "why this doesn't apply to this site" portion of TFA, though.

I love being involved in public contract disputes between media licensing companies! May financial ruin visit all parties involved.

Maybe we’ll see a UMN clause added to popular open source licenses to combat this sort of behavior. Maybe it’ll be “don’t do this” or it’ll go as far as “don’t do this or your right to legally use this software is terminated immediately.”

They’re now proof points that governments can reduce police fatalities by training their police to use more than guns. This hopefully makes it a little easier to sue a city into the ground for failure to adequately train its police force.

I suspect the point of contention here is that people expect their unsubstantiated nonsense to be taken seriously, treated with respect, and accepted by the general public.

And Rogan knew exactly who he was signing with (a risk-averse media company). Two parties voluntarily decided to do business according to some mutually agreeable terms. None of this should be surprising or outrageous to anyone...but, here w

If I took the time to ask probing questions every time someone makes a bad first impression, I wouldn’t have time to work, eat, or sleep. My heuristics have served me well, and I’m sticking with them.

I see things like that and assume that everyone involved in writing, reviewing, and processing the position it advertises is either incompetent, negligent, or playing a game. Ultimately, I don’t care to know why, because there are other job

I think some of the "why" has to do with it being time-consuming and expensive. There's also the "hur-hur n00b, your spec can be wrong, so verification is pointless" crowd that pops up any time the subject comes up.

Most US federal and state taxes can be computed by a rules engine. The big annual challenges are: updating the interviews, QA-ing the rules/engine, fed/state rule-making delays/defects, and ensuring that required printable fo

I’d love to see a diagram or patent filing for the tilt mechanism if one can be shared. I’m only used to ones that can be described as “fussy” and “high maintenance.”

The people who brought us the F-35 want more money to build another new airplane? If the alternative is surrender, then I surrender without hesitation. The Air Force should just order fewer lattes, take a 20% budget cut, and do the best the
