Yes, when he was a fugitive potentially in possession of state secrets. I’m not saying it’s ok - just that now he’s in custody it’s a little different.

In assange’e case, the opposite is true. They were avoiding paying the cost before his leaks. Now the reputational damage is done and so there is less for them to avoid.

It’s part of the feedback loop but it’s not a cause. Intervening to alleviate inequality directly won’t change the other dynamics.

That just means you don’t know about China and the CCP. Anyone who did would never ‘automatically’ assume such a thing. As for being a shareholder kept in the dark, that’s absurd. I am a shareholder too, and almost no operational details

Apple is arbitrarily vulnerable to the CCP who can essentially shut down most of Apple’s worldwide manufacturing if it comes to that. Until Apple has a redundant supply and manufacturing chain, it’s absurd to expect them to resist the CCP.

You can keep asking that question, and it will continue not to add value to the discussions. Google’s metrics are based on increasing ad revenue. It doesn’t take a lot to see how that works against their mission statement.

No but it’s their original mission statement, which is similar to that of the Mundaneum, and Google has failed at it.

I don’t see how this makes any sense at all as a definition of ‘walled’. There are freely available and free of charge Gemini and Gopher clients for every platform, almost all of which are open source. No signups to any service are require
