“…when it’s applied properly.”
- pphysch 5y agoAre you going to make that argument?
- zepto 5y agoI don’t need to. You are the one who quoted it without justification. Feel free to justify yourself. Of course by now we can see multiple people in the comments who think you aren’t applying it properly. As far as I can see you are just using a call for metrics as a lazy dismissal.
- pphysch 5y agoLol. Get a grip. Your behavior in this thread is the definition of "grasping at straws" to avoid substantiating your claims.
- zepto 5y ago“Insisting on metrics does not make you more rational, it just makes you more obnoxious.” https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29483200 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29483200 This is a discussion forum. You know - where people discuss things. Not everything is a ‘claim’ that has to be ‘substantiated’. Haranguing someone in this way is not what the site is about. Again, read the thread. Nobody is supporting your behavior. Here are some pointers from the site guidelines which may explain why: > Be kind. Don't be snarky. Have curious conversation; don't cross-examine. Please don't fulminate. Please don't sneer, including at the rest of the community. > Comments should get more thoughtful and substantive, not less, as a topic gets more divisive. https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html
