We have Google Hangouts equipment in all our meeting rooms at Square, and use them for many (most?) meetings. They generally work great.

Can someone with more insight in this field tell me whether this is the same as claiming that people who have heart surgery tend to suffer more subsequent declines in cardiac health compared to those who never needed heart surgery?

In particular, there are many settings that mention security, encryption, and certificates. It's unclear what combinations are sensible, supported, or necessary.

I want the text snippets to be shown inline. I'm fine with Slack owning the image assets, because I don't have to worry about permissions the way I would if I uploaded them somewhere else (unless it was to some other internal tool

At a "team" size of 5000, the 10000-message limit means you each get 2 messages before things start disappearing. So I think the message limit pretty strongly implies a team member limit.

Out of curiosity, why the downvotes? Is there a better way to respond to being told you lack education to discuss a matter? (Other than the obvious ignoring completely?)

Precisely. I'm not arguing based on some reasoning of my own that AGPL is bad. I'm arguing based on working at a previous big company where if you checked in AGPL code, Ninjas in hazmat suits broke through the skylights and parasa

Sadly, I'm afraid the AGPL license is going to make this untouchable to businesses… :-( [Edit] Interestingly, they cover that. I suppose if you're just running Pijul rather than integrating with its code, it might be safe to use i

My "expected value" knowledge has atrophied, but I'm guessing this is just a weird way of saying a success rate of 99.5% or something. 0.995^135 is about 0.5, so you blow up on average half the time in 135 flights, or once ev

Sure, the approach is different. But the "large company allows a couple of devs to work on a faster Python impl for a while until they realize it's harder than expected" story seems very similar.

Also, can I just take a moment to whine about saying "95% faster"? Does that mean it takes just 5% of the time to run the same benchmark? Or does it mean it takes 95% of the time to run the same benchmark? Or does it mean it can r
