I just check Twitter, since Amazon's status is always a lie. My personal dashboard is still showing no problems. It's bad enough that the main public status is always green even when there's clearly a problem, but you'd

I would love to see this support Python 3.5+, specifically for asyncio. Concurrency via threads in Python is far less appealing.

You get new problems with Mercurial, like almost every tool out there barfing when it encounters multiple heads in a repo. Don't have multiple heads in a repo, you say? Not a viable option if you want to use bookmarks as lightweight br

We do CoAP in 2K on a custom embedded device I work on. What makes you think it's not enough? CoAP is dead simple (though DTLS complicates things if you want to run that).

Are you using CoAP or MQTT for your sensor network? CoAP fits the bill in terms of message overhead.

Nagios _has_ a logging tool, but when people say "Nagios", they're almost always talking about the monitoring tool.

The main missing category I noticed was monitoring. Host and service monitoring are critical to maintaining stable systems, so it's a glaring oversight to exclude it. Some common solutions for monitoring are Nagios, Icinga, and Sensu.

FreeBSD has a binary package manager (pkgng) that should feel much like apt. The ports tree still exists if you want to customize and build from source, but in general you should be fine just using pkg.

This example isn't really making use of asyncio. asyncio.run_until_complete() is a blocking method (note that you don't use await when calling it, as it's not a coroutine.) You'd want to use something like asyncio.wait()

Given that it's built on top of LVS, this presumably supports UDP load balancing. If so, that's great, as the available solutions for UDP load balancing are, to my knowledge, quite limited.
