I currently use Fennec on mobile, but it's just sad how they're adding stupid bulls*t (pocket, collections) and removing useful features. The bloody thing can't save a webpage as PDF anymore

Good for her. Though, a more fun way to quit would be to install the app, feed it the same spoofed location 24/7 putting you right in the middle of your workplace and just never show up again.

Now Mozilla, bloody Firefox for Android cannot save the page anymore - not as MHTML, not as PDF. How can such a basic function just disappear?

The new mobile firefox has no option to save pages anymore. Used to download them into PDF for reading later.

I found out it's pretty much not so dramatic when I left FB and WA in 2017. The people I communicate with have mostly accepted also having Signal.

Anecdotally, a bubble sounds right, since I know I never see an ad anywhere. Firefox + ublock on both computer and mobile, never even consider a smartphone app if it has ads. So how can it be effective?

That idea is what Google+ overcomplicated and underdelivered. And sadly, it's also what Friendfeed was before facebook bought and snuffed it.
