In a lot of ways, Clojure feels like the python of lisps. It pretends (very well I must say) to be dead simple but lets you get into "the nitty gritty details of programming" as another commenter put it, if you need to/know h

Neither are that hard to explain plausibly, and the wikipedia page does so. Brain damage could come from concussive forces applied from the blasts of the (speculated) explosive ordnance tests, this would in turn explain the absence of exter

You may be thinking of http://www.datomic.com/ a product by Cognitect where Rich Hickey works. However the Clojure data structures also have the time dimension in the context of the language's immutable structures but

Wouldn't want to program that particular timer. Talk about hard real time requirements!

The goal is not to be perfect, but to kickstart encryption adoption by a large non technical audience I believe. Sure that's no excuse for potentially bad crypto but it's worth it if this gets proper infosec into the public reach

Overengineered workarounds for peoples (access) rules where an alternative is cc/cv away. That brings nothing to anyone.

Oh yeah let's screw with someone's setup, that'll help. Come on, is it that hard to copy/paste an URL?

Think of it more as emulating a recording studio (instruments, amps, effects the whole thing) modeled as code. This works beautifully in the composition first paradigm of lisps/clojure. The APIs are a bit hard to wrap your head around

I'd rather have "standard form" comment here, so as to encourage clear introductions/pitches by opposition to the inevitable "follow this URL for a presentation". Even if that means a longer read. I think the e

I don't know what parent is saying, but my choice of software shouldn't be the concern of content distributors . It's their job to make content available after all. If they don't want my business, I'll take it else

Are you saying the opposite? I'm sure a convincing argument could be made for both sides of this question. After all, is morality not a popular convention?

I dislike this kind of moral point when the alternative only offers the appearance of morality.

Survived 18months of goblin siege, the last 6 of which spent without access to water. Survived the Roc that drove the goblins away. Fortress became unplayable due to catsplosion. I love this game.

Come to think of it you should take a look at clojure/script, the pattern you describe could easily be implemented with maps in atoms. Cf the 'reagent' libs way of handling state

Well you could precompile part of the guaranteed immutable stuff and distribute it seperately from the mutable execution part... Wait we've reinvented the JVM at this point!
