I hear what you're saying, but I think it's wrong - language is imperfect, and may de facto exclude absolute truth, but it's the 'worse is better' of human communication :-)

I saw him once! But he was over 40ft tall, and 4 hands each with 20 fingers to be able to type more quickly. He is able to solve hard problems just by looking at them, and he is accompanied everywhere by 30 beautiful maidens. I think this t

Firefox 3.0.10 is horribly slow on my system, it crashes pretty frequently on startup. I've been using the Ubuntu Chromium daily builds off of Launchpad for the past for days ( https://launchpad.net/~chromium-daily/+archive/ppa ), and it's

So did you actually have a genuine copy of Windows on your PC? Why did it suddenly stop working, was it due to an upgrade or something? As an aside, I don't actually think it's unfair for MS to block access to Windows to users who are using

Yup - I'm amazed. The Rails community has gotten some flack for this kind of issue before, but rather than listen to the criticism and learn from it, they make the same mistake over and over. It's as if they feel that Rails is a direct prod

Neither Flash, Java or Silverlight will work with Selenium either. In fact, it's pretty hard to get any form of automated acceptance testing working with any of the RIA technologies.

I agree with the general gist of the article, but I'm not sure I agree with this: "Wages are compensation for value creation" This implies that compensation in general (not wages in particular) is always relative to value creation, which I

Actually, Visual Studio does come with Emacs-like keybindings by default - check out Tools > Options > Keyboard, and choose the Emacs option from the dropdown menu. Nice analogy though :-)

Not to want to sound snobbish, but £80 headphones are kind of wasted on mp3s in any case - if you compare listening to an mp3 and the same track on CD (or in a lossless codec such as flac), you'd definitely notice the difference, and apprec
