Well, that was a language inconsistency, not an issue with the DOM. I like working with JS but I don't know why the two operands aren't commutative in my example. The DOM is a headache but luckily smart people have made plenty of libraries

I worked on a cross domain CouchDB connector(using the postmessage and eventsource APIs) for Backbone that would work pretty well with this.

However, in the context of discussing this article, they also used the subheader "faster than the speed of light" for a paragraph describing how the physicists accelerated the mirror... and didn't go faster than the speed of light. So it's

Have you read the Agile manifesto? What about the Software Craftsmanship manifesto?

"Agile" has kind of been losing popularity as a term to "software craftsmanship" lately which seems a bit more holistic and less prescriptive than agile/scrum. Basically it says, "take the parts that make sense from these processes and impl

I don't think the article "suggests that you eschew option three" at all. The author recommended several microframeworks. He's arguing against large, monolithic frameworks and pointing towards a more pragmatic, YAGNI approach. Use a small f

I don't get it. "yay"? "horrah"? "wut"? Better variable names please and maybe an example of how to use it. The only 960 framework I've used is Skeleton( http://getskeleton.com/ ) which is pretty neat.

Has anyone created a list of representatives and whether they support SOPA or not? I've been seeing a list of companies that support SOPA posted on Facebook lately, but I think a list of reps would be a lot more useful.

Yeah, you should keep off the soapbox until after the case has run its course. If you think that using jury nullification is a possibility for you, keep your mouth shut and just do it otherwise you'll be excused.

Hey, they did that to me, too :) I don't think I'd have taken the job anyways -- their application is kind of stupid and their employees all drink a ton of Kool Aid and think it's the best, most influential thing ever.
