I know that so much. Skitch is so crippled now. It was my favorite fast and simple "here let me point it out and show you" tool for everything. I annotated everything with it. With evernote killing the ease of "let me show" half, whats the

Nothing really prevents you from checking in your downloads in to a github web project though and hosting via that though (but probably not the fastest solution). This is kind of a relic feature back when people compared github to SourceFor

You should add the stuff I posted about last year about this time. Basically my beef is forking being not very in the spirt of how it's supposed to work with git. http://zbowling.github.com/blog/2011/11/25/github/

No one can prove I voted with a one way hash either. That's the point. Only I can verify myself.

One way hash with secret salt would work. You enter a secret password as a salt and get a hash code from all your votes so you have a provable record your vote got counted that you can verify but no body can reverse to know it's you. Then s

sure, I don't mind mixing, but I don't vote for checking for exact resolutions, but rather ranges of resolution ratios. Instead of checking for "width == 586" check for width/height and checking to seeing if it's close to 16/9 or 3/2 or 4/3

I disagree with a few tips here. Rather than code to exact resolutions (eg: `if ([CCDirector sharedDirector].winSize.width == 568)`) build your games to be adaptive to the screen. That way when a new device is released you don't end up goin

I know this guy. I competed with him at a hackathon two months ago. He built of automated power tracking tools to tell you your power usage and would turn off lights and things. Took home second place. I ended up winning with my solar subsi

You can still support it sure, but the recommendation from google is to move away from them on phones. IIRC (don't quote me) on tablets, it's a requirement.

It's not though. The back button on phones stays on the top or bottom edge (the icons just rotate to face you). Which side it will be on is wild guess though depending on the phone and OEM. Tablets will move it to the bottom in whatever ori

There is no more hardware back button on any recent android phone either and every time you rotate the screen it's in a different locations (and a different location if it's on landscape vs portrait on tablets vs phones.) It's widely incons

Hi David, I love your apps. Long time iBart user, but what would be nice is a single app that will cover making connections across transit systems. If I'm going to the South Bay tell me how to take Muni to BART or CalTrain and then BART /Ca

This line from the readme made me giggle a litte: > The MPS has been in development since 1994 and deployed in successful commercial products since 1997. Bugs are almost unknown. Then half way down the page is a list of known bugs.

If someone is violating the GPL and the FSF owns the code then contact the FSF. The FSF doesn't care if someone is violating your code's GPL license. It's not their code so the don't have any right to enforce your license.

I did this for iOS 2 years ago for a hackathon. http://cssapply.github.com/CSSApply/ It's not entirely done but it's a good start for someone. The video explains it more: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/16073539/highlight/187549

sure, but the benefits of using C# with MonoTouch over Objective-C is not because you don't have to learn Objective-C but that it can be a more productive environment to write the bulk of your code.

Yah I thought I did. I didn't see Deja the first time I read it. May be my mistake because I'm tired from hacking all night (5am here), but it seemed shorter (the whole middle sentence wasn't there) the first time I read your comment.

No, it's because they bought the company, Deja, that was responsible for putting the first widespread web interface on Usenet. Google groups used to be just Usenet until it forked into something different (user lists). http://en.wikipedia.
