I'm not entirely sure what the purpose of this post is. GNU/Linux is already ready for the desktop; I and others use it. The rest of the article is a mixture of 'X sucks because it's proprietary and doesn't work on

The article is in the context of the US and the CHIPS Act, it doesn't even mention Europe. Or is the CHIPS Act also funding fabs in Europe? I'm not sure it does Europe good to make US-surveillance-ridden chips either.
