I’m confused… There are no rows in the table for proprietary software that hasn’t been OSA’d, and the rows that are there take no head of market size or adoption rates of the alternative. Therefore the chart can only possibly trend downward

I’ve wanted such an app for years. Ideally with a slider showing stages of growth, watering schedules, generating optimal planting patterns and figuring out plant counts. Of course one-click ordering wouldn’t hurt, but I like to imagine you

Yeah it’s a bug for sure. ‘Loan service processor’ got shortened to ‘loan servicer’ which definitely steps on the toes of ‘debt service’. Someone should open a ticket.

We need a method for allocation of scarce resources. If it’s not money, it’s either a random lottery, or it’s based on some allocation function like a performance assessment. I would not expect to see allocation of government funded admiss

I think a lot of people are debating the giveaway itself without reading the article about abusing the PSLF regime using LRAPs. So aside from the giveaway, Biden’s EO has also sweetened the deal on the public service loan forgiveness progra

It probably can’t happen without congress. But can you even imagine the shitshow when half a trillion in debt that was wiped out somehow has to be put back on the books?!

If this tree had a secret to cultivating a resistant strain that would be very awesome. Is there a good app which lets you input your zip code, maybe also sun exposure and soil conditions, how many feet of width and height you have availabl

Correct me if I’m wrong, but a decade ago Intel would probably have said their fab/process node was their moat? I know nothing about chip design, but like most things, I feel like one exceptionally brilliant tech lead surrounded by a g

100% agree. Maybe the specific layout of a QWERTY keyboard is somehow particularly bad for this, but jabbing at the general location of the letters I want combined with a half decent AI should make text entry really damn reliable. Even just

That’s not fair. Some people care about different things than you do. I think op’s description is more aligned with the broader market, but that’s just, like, my opinion.

If WW3 goes hot beyond the regional proxies, we all lose pretty hard. A new iPhone 14 or Mac M2 will be a pipe that we all chuckle about how we used to care about such things.

Simple: Because you add zero to the memory address of an array to access the first element. The array indexer was syntactic sugar for pointer arithmetic.

Pretty sure it was metadata that allowed the US to locate and strike Zawahiri in Kabul with a predator drone. So safe to say the US isn’t going to stop doing this any time soon.

It’s not really so clear cut. Perhaps if a 51% attack let you fully steal coins yes. But there are only specific things a 51% attacker can do, and even attempting to pull off the attack has game-theoretic impact on the price if Bitcoin. The

I doubt that 21st page actually exists, even on the back end. I would bet the top-line number of results is some sort of extrapolated estimation thing, a hand-wavey way to represent how deep the hypothetical result set is for that query.
