I get the feeling that the demand to have such a conversation, at the whim of downstream, is a significant part of the burden the author wished to avoid. At least it would be for me in his position. I may express a preference and desire not

I completely agree with you. Though as a Minnesota resident, a 32F low temp operating bound is hilariously ludicrous. "Well below" -20F would be the expectation here. I'm sure Canadians would extend that to well below -40.

Nobody subscribes to magazines today. The entire consumer electronics market today can barely support one and a half brick and mortar chains (Best Buy and Micro Center). Yet I can get commercially produced PCBs of my own design for less t

The WHO and CDC have had their head in the sand for 60 years when it comes to airborne pathogens. They have only acknowledged aerosol transmission of covid in the last couple weeks. It was physicists who had to figure out why they were doma

It's a good joke. Unfortunately Sanderson's writing style is really incompatible with Rothfuss and Martin's. Also, he has his own epic series that will occupy him for another 20 years.

Even though I disagree with that perspective, it has no bearing on the fact that Firefox had already dislodged IE from a dominant browser position before Chrome even appeared on the scene.

Mozilla killed IE. Google swept in after Firefox did the hard work. (Ab)used their search monopoly to drive Chrome ads.

This is the first thing I wanted to know too. From raspberrypi.org: > Are you planning to make RP2040 available to customers? > We hope to make RP2040 broadly available in the second quarter of 2021.

The trouble with finding BIFL products is that by the time it is old enough to know that it is BIFL, the product has been severely cost reduced and if you bought a new one it would no longer be BIFL. Sigh.

Reddit has regressed in this area. It now appears like an email is required for signup (even though you can leave it empty and click next). It probably deters people from creating accounts.
