( rimshot ) But to the actual question of anybody actually getting this done, I still don't see the reason why. Yes, these things can be done; but for what purpose ? Like, is there a professional advantage?

I see, I apologise. Although, I still don't see that the original comment made responds to the main point that the writer makes, that Google has a responsibility because their data, correct or not, is presented to such a huge number of

Because not everybody needs all the stuff that comes with MinGW? Why install all that stuff if they don't intend to use it, just to get a package manager designed for another platform? Apart from the fact that the MinGW port of pacman

I still can't see the link to individuals using DDG as an immediate or relevant solution to the problem discussed by the author. The comment, to my eyes, came off as flippant.

Even better, the latest QEMU can now run Mac OS 9.2.2 with sound, networking, and excellent speed.

Have you tried QEMU in the last 3 months? They've really ironed out a lot of things, and you can now run Mac OS 9.2.2 with sound and networking. I run it to play a few old games and open old ClarisWorks documents.

This comment does not correspond with the content of the article. The blog writer is discussing the way that Google's algorithms are faulty, presenting false information quite high in search results. This has little to nothing to do wi

This comment doesn't correspond with the content of the blog post. It relates to Google's algorithms; one's personal choice of search engine does not change the fact that the results Google shows are ultimately seen by more e

I've a 27" iMac with a 5K display. I don't think I'd want anything larger as you're supposed to sit close to your display rather than have it at a distance, and if I ever need more screen real estate, I change the s

There's a lovely piece of software called SensibleSideButtons to deal with that. Back in the day, everybody used USB Overdrive to overcome OS X's shortcomings with the mouse. Alternatively, BetterTouchTool is a nice little piece o

I don't understand how this comment relates to GP. Whether people just want a DDG skin for Bing doesn't really address GP's points that (A) the article failed to mention this, and (B) failed to consider its implications.
