Are you talking about IO on Docker for Mac when mounting files from the Mac host to the container? In that case, for an apples-to-apples comparison you would have to run your microOS+podman setup inside a VM on MacOS, then mount files from

I don’t understand anti-government zealots any more than I understand anti-capitalism zealots. Both try to cherry-pick facts in support of an obviously flawed theory: that one is the pinnacle of civilization while the other is an evil to ro

None of this seems specific to a two-party system. You’re just caricaturing the democratic system in general, without offering constructive criticism or any alternative. You also haven’t addressed the point made by the comment you’re respon

Supabase is definitely open-source. To the founders of supabase: don’t let people like this deter you. Their misplaced anger and self-righteousness says more about them than it says about you. If your software is good, we will use it. If it

“startups for startups” is not so much leverage as it is a way to enter the market. If your competition is too entrenched to take on directly, you find a way to “wrap” it with an adjacent product. Then once you have a foothold with joint cu

All accurate. My point is that Kub deprecating the shimming does not affect Docker’s popularly or market share either way. The existence of the shim was an implementation detail and Docker themselves have been encouraging the switch to cont

Docker was created by a VC-backed startup in 2013. So they have had an incentive to make money from the very start. At no point was Docker not financed by VC money.
