http://www.worldipv6launch.org/measurements/ has some numbers for % of traffic to major sites (google, facebook, yahoo, akamai, etc) from each ISP that goes over IPv6. Some major US ISPs: Comcast: 20.61% AT&T: 13.5

Ultrasharp is to Dell monitors what "MacBook Pro" is to Apple laptops. Dell clearly intends, with their 24/32 vs cheaper 28, to have pro quality and mainstream quality displays both at UltraHD/4k resolution the same way

A friend of mine had a similar "issue". He had a modem too new to be on Comcast's approved list so they refused to register it. After plugging it in anyways, IPv4 was filtered to a Comcast captive portal with modem registrati

As far as I know the privacy extensions only cycle through the host portion of the address (lower 64 bits) so they should work fine with just a /64. Access to a bigger prefix may help you get around systems that do IP banning in /

Everyone I know in Chicago with residential Comcast service (including myself) has had native IPv6 deployed since ~June 2012. Based on information from http://www.comcast6.net it looks like Comcast lit up IPv6 for residential cu

Does this have the ability to filter by application? In particular, can it turn off the incredibly irritating "please update software now" that is perpetually posted when you have outstanding updates that you don't want to ig

My wife is doing this, and while I agree the price is actually sane, the service can be extremely poor and horribly demoralizing, especially if you are bright and used to getting things done. Even at the flagship campuses of a community col

Move wouldn't actually help in this case. Move works by letting a wrapper object (like a string or vector) that manages a pointer to some dynamically allocated storage take over the pointer of the object being moved rather than allocat

A standard 2560x1440 27 inch display is 109 though, so all it gives you is a bigger picture. For a TV or digital sign that might be interesting but not for those wanting a workstation desktop with the DPI they've come to enjoy in their

Yes, progress is being made. Software, network backbone, and data center support is all pretty good now. Last mile access and content are the main areas now where you can't expect support by default. Many of the largest content provide

I wonder this as well, especially with "top" websites. How much high profile traffic these days is actually served by a single piece of software? All of our high profile sites have layers of caching and load balancing between them

"defaulting" to IPv6 is something that is done on the DNS/client end. Verizon is so high because they have a brand new network that was built from the ground up with mandatory IPv6 support for all devices required. See the presentation note
