Nice. Thanks for that. The only addendum I would make is that the second parameter to open specifies to open the file as writable. Usually the constant is O_WRONLY, but it wasn't working for me in GDB.

So does this mean you're tying in with banks one by one, instead of using something like yodlee?

I'm a bit late to this game, but if you're looking to pick up a couple extra hours a week, and you know ruby, rails, javascript and css, I'd love to hear from you. I need some help on a couple side projects that are taking up too much time.

That's what I use it for. It's frustrating that there's no way to turn off / set a boundary for the cascading in CSS.

The funny thing is, resources are extremely limited once you're there - you only have what you brought with you. The difference between the start and end of the week is especially noticeable with quality things like good alcohol. I think it

Everyone's risk tolerance is different. Sometimes, you need to get paid. This will get you in the door at an already funded startup where you'll get a salary and still have the potential payoff of a big exit.

Yep, it's the chromeless player. We grab videos links from twitter, then we use the youtube data api to drop videos where the embed access control is disabled.

Channels should be working. You should get a box to the left of the player with a list. They're grabbed from the trending topics on twitter. I'll look into it.

Because we rank videos based on twitter mentions, we're pretty time-zone dependent. Currently it's brazil o'clock. Smoothing that out is on the to-do list. The rec engine doesn't tailor the playlist yet - currently we're just using it to co

I was agreeing that saving empty directories is difficult - it's annoying that you have to put an empty file in them.

You can easily make an alias for all of those commands. I would say that "git add" is simpler than "git stage add". "git stage remove" would definitely be nice. "git reset HEAD file" is a bit clunky. What would "git stage list" do? Saving e

I think Zed underestimates the value of his contribution of Mongrel. It's a great piece of code. I certainly wouldn't have heard of him if it wasn't for that. I doubt his blog posts would be making it to number 1 on hacker news without it.
