Me too. Just to test it out, I entered in my name (zain). It suggested http://za.in/ and said it was available. I was ecstatic! But, sadly, no, it was wrong. "whois za.in" says NOT FOUND, but I can't find a single .in registrar who says i

Despite what a couple bloggers might say, I don't think anyone is actually angry at "Team Cyprus" for having a vacation. More so, it is a feeling of jealousy/admiration that they were able to enjoy themselves at a time when many of us are

I agree with you in concept on everything except for one thing: "Simple bans would work." They don't. Not by a longshot. If you've ever played the game, you get harassed by gold farmers all the time. It has been a constant arms race between

Allowing you to use the product as you please has the ability to hinder me from using the product how I please. Cheaters ruin the game for everyone, so it isn't as clear of a distinction as, for example, running whatever software you want o

It isn't about building the app; its about logging into their portal and entering their UID in. After 100 UIDs are entered, you have to create a new identifier and rebuild the app to get around the 100-device limit. If you really want to ru

The Ad-hoc model requires considerable effort for the purchaser and especially the developer. The dev has to enter in the device UID for every single person who wants to use the app. This doesn't scale to anywhere near the millions of use

Perhaps it is because it is more likely for a hardware company to be able to afford the $18500 fee for DEMO, while software companies are generally poorer and might chose to go the cheaper TC50 route.

It is interesting to note that the majority of startups at DEMO are hardware companies while most at TechCrunch50 are software companies.

Wait... you want Mike Arrington to give preference to people who are young and poor, regardless of the merits of their startup? If David Sacks has a better startup to present, why would he be turned down? Isn't the primary goal of TC50 to s

There was plenty of buzz about a Google browser over the years. Even the BBC covered it way back in 2004, around when the Chrome team was established: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/3680942.stm In addition, plenty of small blogs co

I understand that. I'm not disputing the fact that a 128 bit random integer is hard to guess. The problem, however, is that it is being stored as a string. As such, if you decide to use the 32 character hex representation as a password, you
