I got worried seeing how she profiled 14/15 year olds in the same frame as adults. That’s problematic. Children have a right to make mistakes — I’m sure we’ve all benefited from a second chance, although my rationale must change to con

I have seen the proliferation of these POSs, but I never assumed they meant total tips have gone up. How do you know that total tips have gone up across the board?

I’d go running up the tow path along the canal out of Georgetown and always wondered what the hell this random cable connecting to a barrier island (as seen in the photo) was for. I figured it was a camp or club of sorts. I knew I was appro

Certainly puts the French government and Foreign Ministry in a curious spot. Were they the ones to ask Britain to intervene? What is a publisher doing on a counterterrorism watchlist? Are we to assume the worst that Britain is impinging on

The point of the article is to propose it as a fun thing to do on the side. But who solders as a hobby? I’m a millenial, and I have broken out my dad’s soldering equipment a handful of times because I wanted to try fixing something myself.

I’ve lost all patience for liberals or conservatives who can’t entertain a thought that doesn’t strictly adhere to the contemporary orthodoxy. It is especially disconcerting within a law school. What an awful thing to imagine a lawyer unwil

It is never a bad time to pursue justice and allow the rusty machinery of our democracy to operate. I don't really care what comes of it, though I have an opinion of what is right and also what will happen. Many people treat this like

Agreed. Speaking about passion, I just can't forgive Ubi for what they've done to my beloved Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six games. Nothing good can last forever, but I have a lot of nostalgia for those stories and the games based o

You'd damn sure better be earning well over 7,000 USD a month. Iceland is so expensive, and I'd imagine those prices have gone up with inflation. Even the locals have a secondary pricelist. It's a nice place to visit, but I&#

Well with those prices, organic and fair trade cotton or not, it’s certainly not going to be “for the people.” On the net, privacy will become a luxury fewer people can afford, and that holds true with this apparel as well. Maybe others wil

I use Mullvad. They recommend configuring your browser to enable a SOCKS5 proxy (can only work once you’re connecting thru their Vpn). They claim that this helps with captchas. Might be worth a try with your service.

That’s what I used, but it requires creating VLAN configurations, or it did when I tried this a couple years ago. I had to get help and just don’t have time to futz around with it anymore.

This is great news for consumers. Here in France, it’s a major pain in the ass to directly use your own router, thought not impossible. I did it with Open WRT on a Netgear Archer. It suddenly stopped working, and I suspect the VLAN config n

“This will be the norm until we get more inventory in the market." I can see how that would be one analysis in dense and growing cities, but I wonder how much of this holds true in less densely populated areas where there are homes ava

Because it’s hypocritical. Apple’s marketing tries to cast its products as pro-privacy, and this would suggest that they are willing to give yours up for the right price. The secrecy part is icing on the cake. Privacy exists for them but no

This sounds naive, but why is it advantageous for Apple to limit transfer speeds? I understand adding a chip to control which accessories are fully compatible, but isn’t this a missed opportunity for Apple to tote new transfer speeds? Or wo

Walled garden be damned, I’d really like some choice in how I browse the web on my phone. Not that I want Google peering in on me over Apple, but hopefully (maybe?) this can be a wedge to open up rules on iOS browsers for Firefox and Orion.

Goldeneye was re-released to Switch and Xbox today. It has revamped controls, refresh rate, and resolution. I’ve yet to give it a try, but if you have Xbox’s game pass, it’s gratis. Switch apparently requires some kind of expansion pack. I’
