That was like 20 years ago. I wonder how many of those folks are still around. It would be interesting to understand how they ran this project internally. Did it build off of that previous work or did they approach it from the ground up.

Was anyone really disappointed that this paper was about the human skeleton with 6 Degrees of Freedom not 6 Dimensions? I was hoping for a theoretical model of the human body if we existed in a 6 dimensional universe. Maybe I've been r

I assume that most industries use specialized equipment that is incredibly expensive for the average person. I like to do DIY projects around the house but I can't afford a tower crane.

I think this might take another generation. The Oscars represent the high production values/costs of the entertainment industry. Giving an Oscar to a 17 year old with an iPhone would threaten the foundation of a lot of that industry. I

It's a fun page, but the gravitational acceleration is clearly wrong. You animated some balls in CSS, you didn't model gravity. I think this might be a good example of using the wrong tool for the job. JS would work great for this

Isn't this why we have unit testing, code review, CI? Also most of us aren't working in these industries. Most software developers build consumer apps for buying stuff or serving ads. All of Facebook was just down from a single er

The ACK operator runs in k8s, but I'm pretty sure RDS instances created via ACK will still run natively in AWS. ACK is a just a k8s native mechanism for defining the resource and managing its config/state. More a replacement for C
