It keeps coming down to finding the right resources and not wasting time on the bad projects. And that's totally valid. We need some sort of js beginner walk through that has a section for each step in the process and explains the solu

It's not as high as you would think. Everyone here loves to complain how fast things come along but the following is true for any language. If you know the fundamentals of JS you can do anything. It's not hard to spend a Saturday

Needing something quick is subjective honestly. Personally I could build you a service worker that makes your app offline capable and throw in React components on whatever pages you need, or setup a whole React / vue / vanilla js

Doesn't work at all with JS. This is a big thing on many sites now. Also, since that is the case, you could build this in a few hours using something like: https://github.com/bda-research/node-crawler . Yes, it wou

Not at all, nothing incompatible changes on the surface. There are more features and no breaking changes. It's mostly all under the hood! There will be new public api's to build your own custom rendering engine, ex how there is re

If anyone wants to see, we are using next.js 2.0 on https://kimmel.com . Yes, the designer added way too many fonts, but overall it's a really nice static site thanks to next and the programmatic api allowed me to generate b

Their React app definitely has a lot that could be done better. It is nice seeing what other people come up with in big orgs and learning from what they have written. Sometimes I have imposter syndrome to the max but this sort of codebase I

Sure, keep adding many methods and make new functions every time. I totally get what you're saying. I just like the syntactic sugar of Template Literals :)

The only thing I disagree with is making an extra dependency sound like such a bad thing. Nobody uses fetch directly. You always wrap it into a more suitable api for your project. So either you're going to do that yourself, or add in a

I think the syntax is nicer if you take a look at the example of doing partial requests. I made this library for fun, but I'll be splitting out my requests into partials for an entire api. I think you get benefits from using the partia
