I pre-ordered the Remarkable 1 and ended up returning it due to buggy software and the battery life not performing as advertised (had to recharge literally every day). I pre-ordered the Remarkable 2 when it came out because it was much more

I have lived in PA all my life and remember touring Lebanon Bologna and Wilbur Chocolate (in nearby Lititz) in one day. I loved seeing all the processes that go into making bologna. I don’t eat much of it these days but I love the unique sw

Just echoing the sentiment of loving Backblaze. The HDD stats really aligns with the open source roots of the company. I love that they also open source the designs of their storage pods. This "show your work" strategy helps me tr

What the devs are doing here seems similar to the private RuneScape servers that exist to this day. The only thing I can think of is that RuneScape created OSRS (olde school RuneScape) off of a backup from 2007. Maybe Riot is planning on do

You could do it with like an Arduino and any kind of button. There are tons of examples of using an Arduino to run a keyboard's firmware. Another project i've done was with a Rasberry pi. A benefit of that would be that the syste

This is a valid point, but it’s hard to place the blame on Google/Android. I think the challenge is less of Android itself but a refusal of the OEMs to support newer OS versions. This makes business sense, but sucks for consumers. I t

I feel like we all need to be more like this kid and actively seek out more dinosaurs in our lives. I especially enjoy listening to science-related podcasts and shows as part of my wind-down routine. For example I watch a lot of space docum

I think as Flutter matures it will change the game for native development. I'm building an app now for a well known startup and are converting their native codebases to Flutter. What is interesting is that I was able to compile the app

I'm not saying I believe any of the crazy conspiracies related to the Nazca lines, but I really do wonder what they actually are. The mysteries behind a lot of these ancient megalithic structures make me wonder about how sophisticated

Something I've been thinking a lot about lately is environmental friendliness in software, given that data centers contribute 3% of global greenhouse emissions (same amount as the entire airline indistry). I'm thinking along the l
