Thanks for sounding the alarm. I've sent an abuse email to porkbun to hopefully get the domain taken down.

This is a website to get feedback about their book, your ux complaints are with "helpthisbook."

I think cursor was using it on my behalf and it's been making many tiny edits and also doing stuff I never asked it to do. I can rely on claude to limit itself to what I ask.

The thing I'm unsure about is if the streams approach is the same as the xhr one. I've no idea how the xhr one was accomplished or if it was even standards based in terms of impl - so my question is: Does xhr track if the packet m

Are there any open source games like this? I would love to see how these types of games are built.

I tried out git worktrees recently and while they do what's on the tin, I really didn't like them as much as I thought I would. I actually like the way cursor does it despite the fact that it is a VM - I wish I could have their sa

Zod has nothing to do with SPAs and isn't just a frontend tool. Do you not validate inputs in your code?

People are using tools like cursor for "vibe coding" - I've found the canvas in chatgpt to be very buggy and it often breaks its own code and I have to babysit it a lot. But in cursor the same model will perform just fine. So

Does verso/servo offer a way to get a raw framebuffer? I'm working on a project where I am currently using cef but I would love to go full rust.

When typescript came out, you were seen as weird for wanting such a thing. I once had a VP of engineering dm me to tell me to stop discussing typescript in the company dev channel around 2015 (if you're reading this, that was a dick mo

I disagree, if all it took was maturity then we wouldn't see giant data breaches of the largest companies in the world weekly.

Yeah it's definitely something that could do more harm than good to a company long term. But I'm sure there are instances where this tradeoff is worth it. They would invest more heavily in runbooks or maybe even ci that runs migra

That's a good point, has anyone hardened a database by locking out users who select columns that don't exist? Or run other dubious queries? This would obviously interrupt production but if someone is running queries on your db it&

What does it actually mean to disconnect? Is there some physical connection being broken? How is that done?

Genuine question, is this comparison really apples to apples? Microsoft wanted to compete with sun right? Does google want to compete with programming languages like this? My gut tells me this is NIH not wanting to compete.

It seems odd to put crypto and LLMs in the same boat in this regard - I might be wrong but are there any crypto projects that actually provide value? I'm sure there are ones that do folding or something but among the big ones?
