It's part of the plan. We're working together with people like Chad Fowler to bring that to life. But this is the initial launch with a smaller offering for now.

Right. But most developers aren't server admins and don't want to be. I press a few buttons and a server is up and ready! :)

I agree and disagree. HN is not massive, but it is a force. HN can be one scary angry mob which is nice to be backed by, but horrible to be on the end of. Remember the Aria Richards debacle which was heightened by this community. Just one o

Perhaps I feel that Tumblr is meant to be a free place. And after all you can go to <anywebsite>.tumblr.com and to some people who don't know better - that's an official website by Tumblr. You raise some great points and if

Totally agreed. Just a "Can you be less snarky please? and I would have changed the language and redeployed.

Tumblr itself was highly fragile, so this could be the case. But the Tumblr users were used to things breaking a lot and understood. I think the biggest thing was the fact they spent all the time removing Missing E rather than adding a few

I'm about to launch a design critique site that I've been working on for months. The truth is that it's easier to critique in person than online. If you don't know someone's personality and can't read their nuances it makes it a lot harder.
