Surprised this is on top. Human beings have been using tools to augment memory since writing. Lots of these tools are faulty but then so too is memory. If you want to remember everything good luck, but I am not convinced.

Ultimately it seems the question ought to be “is the code they wrote with AI buggier than the code they would have written without”, not “is the code they wrote with AI 100% bug free”. I doubt that any team doing a significant refactor from

I think the diagram on a linear scale makes the stark point that to Elon Musk, there is not really a difference between someone worth $499 and someone worth $499M, even though to me there is a massive difference between those people.

Tried to make this meme [1] a reality and the source image was tough for it. Heads up, little bit of language in the audio. https://6ammc3n5zzf5ljnz.public.blob.vercel-storage.com/inf2... [1] https://i.redd.it&#x

Whenever I have to make a big decision I think about what’s important to me. I give 3-8 things like money, learning, commute time, etc. a score from 1-5. Then I score different alternatives 1-5 based on how well I think they do on those thi

This is why it’s important to measure things and to forecast. I would be surprised if your memory was perfect, but numbers don’t lie.

I disagree, it’s too soon to tell whether the prediction is accurate. Maybe it’s obvious to you, but I’d at least like to see that prediction justified. I don’t see how accepting an unjustified opinion is thinking.

Am I missing something here? I can suppose a universe where the premise is false (This is a conceivable universe, I’d argue). Doesn’t that mean that this premise really is false?

No one person will decide. The “market” will decide. The strong will be relieved and the weak will suffer. To get relief the weak should become strong. Unfortunately, suffering will make them weaker. Are the currently strong going to keep t

If the business can't afford to raise salaries to match the prices of goods, then that is a pay cut in terms of the goods I can afford. It doesn't matter why. If I earned $5/hour last year and a gallon of milk was $5, then mi

Personally fine with that. Plenty of land on this big blue ball, you want to live like that, go for it! That said, I do like to live in a city, and right now my city is designed for you. I’m excited for cities to cater to pedestrians!
