Nitter itself is still fine, there are like 2 public-ish instances I‘m aware of but I think people should go out and host some in more private communities/run one over Tor or something

My gitea instance was only ~6 DB migrations beyond where Forgejo was at when I decided to switch, so I just undo‘d those and upgraded anyways. Works just fine, but I was really lucky that they weren‘t any big migrations. I guess isn‘t reall

Not sure, I couldn‘t find those fingerprints anywhere and I couldn‘t replicate them in any browser I had access to (Safari iOS, Windows & Linux Firefox & Chromium), so I decided to block them. I haven‘t had a single person complain

Regarding the residental botnets: check their TLS fingerprint, they usually (at least from my experience) have the same few JA4 hashes that don‘t match with modern browsers

I run an instance of a downloader tool and had lots of chinese IPs mass-download youtube videos with the most generic UA. I started with „just“ blocking their ASNs, but they always came back with another one until I just decided to stop bot

copy the not finished download file in your downloads folder (for me lisa.jpg.crdownload) and name it lisa.jpg
