In my experience it will slow down the loading if you add a loading screen. You want the initial state to look as much as the final state as possible so that the browser doesn't have to rerender.

I have Windows, Linux with various desktops, iPhone, Android, and of course web browsers, and I think the apps look and behave pretty much the same across all devises. Maybe because almost all apps are web apps in a native shell. UI compone

Why do we need to maximize profits? With current technology we shouldn't need to work 8 hours per day, maybe 2-3 hours max to maintain quality of living. Instead we should work to make everyone's life easier, including your own l

I could do this 15 years ago. we're just adding more syntax and featurea so that we can do stuff in new ways and call it the modern way. Whats ironic is that the more featurea that are added the more frameworks are invented to manage i

Leave the comments in the commit messages and make many small commits! That way they don't change the actual source and they're specific for that version of the code.

Can someone recommend a good tutorial on how to work with GIS data? I downloaded a bunch of files from openstreetmap but could not make any sense of it.

When I learned coding it took a lot of effort just to get something to work at all, it took many years until I could take an idea and write code that works right away after the spelling errors have been fixed. Now I have colleges that have

As most humans are afraid to be against the consensus of the room, fake reviews and sentiment seeding is extremely effective against the general population. Also note that bad actors use it to create bad sentiment to it's competitors.

We are so different, but I guess with a lot of training we could interpret each others thoughts. A first step would be to record your own thoughts and then replay them in order to see if you experience the same thing you did when the though

You do get a lot for free with the DOM, but it's messy, works differently between different browser and you have to constantly fight it. With your own rendering engine it's more work but you have much more freedom and can get bett

When making a text editor from scratch my biggest surprise was how slow/costly text rendering is.

In my experience you need at least 8k per eye to get sharp text. But if you just want to watch a movie 4k will look very crisp and 1080p@30hz also works for movies. So what you get is basically a larger mobile screen for watching videos, so
