This is a great initiative, and one that sparks an interesting dilemma. Might the US wake up one day to find itself secluded on the internets? Just like the average Nigerian, who has exactly 0% chance of successfully ordering a product on e

I hate to crash the party, but why is the premise that "overriding links is absolutely okay" taken for granted? Says who? Google and their `/url`? Facebook and their `l.php`?

Consider your 'answer' - 'accepted'. No other data confirms this supposed packet loss, and this clearly looks like an incorrect measurement. False alarm.

A while back I was interested in implementing a much less naive algorithm for classifying TWSS expressions, based on this [1] paper. Never actually got around to finishing the work. Interesting problem though, and nice work. [1] - http://w

Most people cannot do more than one full-blown startup at the same time. What I personally find myself doing is dealing with several different projects on varying levels of intensity. So I have one startup that takes most of my time, and th

I just gave a talk last week at 28C3 [1,2] about how all the personal details of Israeli citizens are up for grabs for anyone inclined enough to get them. I'm ashamed to see that we've learned nothing in the past 10 years. [1] - http://www

I actually don't see that process as a bad thing. What you're doing is basically learning the tool, and its capabilities. Next time you need a CSS3 transformation plugin tailored for presentations, you'll be able to say "hey, I remember the

I know it's hard to read my comment through the torrent of downvotes (which speaks for itself). However, in it, I've said nothing of free will. For discussion's sake, let's assume we live in a perfect society in which women do porn purely f

I find it intriguing that last time Any.DO was on HN [1], the feedback was pretty bad. Granted, it seemed as if the thread was deliberately bumped up. However, the fact that Any.DO is doing very well with their distribution does mean someth
