For me, the main thing is that scrolling on a touchpad in Windows feels extremely "off" on Chrome and Firefox, while Edge manages it perfectly. Additionally, Edge has lower power consumption than Chrome.

Yes, you can transpile ES6+ to ES5 for client-side applications using Babel.

You can wrap that in Array.from() to take advantage of foreach, filter, etc..

This post is completely unsubstantiated, if if it were true, the NSA would be swimming in false positives with the "trillions" of writings they supposedly analyzed.

Yeah, especially since the M8 really killed it in terms of latency: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2706200 It seems difficult to make the screen worse than the previous model.

One of the biggest selling points for single file components is styling (with optional scoping): https://vue-loader.vuejs.org/en/features/scoped-css.html If you need to override child component styles from a paren

..How? You'd just get a syntax error. Embedding a runtime babel compiler isn't mentioned in the docs at all (though I guess it would work albeit killing load performance, but it's not something that you would expect newbies t

Vue removed real two-way-binding in 2.0. The v-model you commonly see is just syntax sugar. Also, here's the obligatory "Vue supports JSX" link: https://medium.com/js-dojo/using-jsx-with-vue-js-846f4fbbf0

If you use single file components, there are some common compile time checks by default for the render function, but I'd argue that type checks are not as necessary as in JSX (which you can use with full type checking in Vue) due to se

Could you explain your rationale? I highly doubt that a very large number of people are hand-writing render functions... I personally gave up on React and only picked it up several months later after finding out that using it with just a sc

You can't write JSX without a template compiler (how ergonomic is it to hand write a render function?). It's painful to write React components with just a script embed (this might not be important to you , but it's important

Something worth noting is that both Angular and Vue are far more script-embed-directly-into-page friendly (mostly due to templating) compared to React. Almost all React users get it from NPM, while I would expect that the proportion of Angu

Electron apps display misleading RAM statistics in Task Manager, at least on Windows. There are multiple content processes that you have to compare paths to find.

Chrome's hidpi support has been acceptable on Windows since about 2015. It's still not absolutely perfect (there are issues with 1px black bars when resizing Windows), but it's completely usable.

Yeah, it's pretty common (for the tree shaking case) to make a custom d3/whatever library bundle with Rollup and use it with Webpack for your app, but it's a formidable alternative to Webpack regardless.

Have you tried rollup? Webpack's tree shaking is broken and doesn't work properly with libraries structured like d3, while rollup's works properly. I've managed to get trivial 150kb minified size reductions by switching.

Vue templates are checked at compile time with the default runtime-only distribution, and the DSL it uses is arguably more checkable than JSX.
