   Not really. Quad9 also provides an unfiltered version of itself, which I'm currently using. Cloudflare I believe has the same option too.

   Just use Momiji, unless you care about Chrome so much. In that case, Chromium Legacy might work.

   XMPP, as Matrix is pretty much centralized, unless you're fortunate enough to register outside of matrix.org. Both xmpp.org and jabber.org is no longer open for registration.
