Releasing the trained model does not make it open source. Open source means something else. Calling released trained models open source is akin to releasing the binaries of a software for free, without releasing the source code, and c

You’re assuming all/large portion of the stolen code was developed by him and he could have even written all of it at the NVIDIA. Maybe he needed all that to actually perform in the new job.

It’s not too complicated. Their interests are/were different. In the case of YC, removing him was better for PG and YC. In this case, having Sam on top of OpenAI gets them better returns on their investment.

The article seems to ignore the fact that people eat what grows locally. So, India grows a lot of spices, hence the food has those as ingredients. Norway doesn’t, so food is bland. That’s my theory anyway..

I think peer pressure also plays a part. You want to be part of the majority in case things change, Sam comes back etc. Actually going is a whole different thing. Why not go to Google or FB or Anthropic if you’re quitting anyway, and they c

Is this guy big enough on the totem pole to know what Ilya wants? Or, is he just bitter that his millions are put in risk.

Pettiness seems to be Sam tweeting about this. As a person who is, at the moment, not an employee, using guest pass is correct.

Only 3 people are reported to have resigned. There’s no evidence that a mass resignation will happen.

It seems somewhat clear that at the end of the day there are two camps, Ilya and Sam. Sam is backed by investors who are looking for returns, and are not sure if Ilya will get them the same juicy 100X. So, if Sam comes back, then I’m pretty

It sounds more like FUD being spread by Sam camp. I just don’t see a reason as to why the board would resign. But, what do I, or anyone except the people involved, know. OTOH, the tweet sounds/read weird. Is he trying to recruit folks

Why would the board resign, makes no sense. Sam was a hired CEO, board is within its power to fire him. I would imagine that Ilya is a more valuable person than Sam.

Cast iron is better without enamel and regular seasoning IMHO. We’ve completely transitioned to stainless steel and regular cast iron for all cooking.

Personally I’d be happy to see a PA IFF my copay is less. Why should I pay my standard copay to see a PA for a regular visit, or pay the same much much higher specialist copay if I’m seeing a PA instead of an actual specialist MD.
