Note that what I mean is that it is not just to buy stuff, but also to extract as much profit as possible. And commodities where that isn't possible tends to be outsourced to other countries like China, making our trade deficit worse.

I mean treating people as consumers to extract more and more money from. Note that I am just saying that the current economy encourages such a culture too.

BTW, the way the current economy works is also why revenue of for example Sun and Novell declined quickly. I have an entire paragraph about that in the essay.

I don't like the idea of anti-discrimination laws here in the first place. They do still make sense for things like voting.

AFAIK the entire idea dates back to the days of the 80286/80287 (and 80386/80387) when accessing the coprocessor was slow, and a TSS switch (Linux used it until the late 1990s) set that bit for you.

Personally, I understood when the ClientHello was changed to deal with TLS version intolerant servers, but disliked the middlebox changes in the ServerHello.

I am more interested in the Google specific problems and tracing it back to Larry and Sergey. I have written an essay about one problem: http://yuhongbao.blogspot.com/2018/04/google-doubleclick-moz...

AFAIK some states have such laws, but apartment 120V charging will still likely be the mainstream in the short term. Especially as apartment dwellers are likely to live closer to work for example, not to mention the cost if every parking sp

AFAIK for EV charging it is ~1400W for a 15A outlet and ~1900W for a 20A outlet (because the load is continuous), and the difference between the two for the Model 3 is probably around two miles per hour or so.

One of the things they did with the Model 3 was to improve the efficiency of 120V charging, partly for that reason. Trivia: In Canada, the CEC since 2012 requires a NEMA 5-20 outlet for EV charging at a minimum, and with the Model 3 6-7 mil

Yea, AppleScript was good when it was invented in 1993 with System 7 Pro. One early problem with it was the CFM port of ObjectSupportLib (68K used a static library), which took until the release of version 1.2 in 1997 before most of the maj
