Yeah in theory, but the Board's let it happen so they really have themselves to blame. The Board's answer to the shareholders (again, in theory) and yet the composition of musical Board chairs never seems to be affected. So we jus

This sort of buries the lede though. WHY they're laying off thousands isn't as important as HOW they're able to do that and still function. The reason tech companies are able to layoff all of these people is because they

I don't understand why you have clickable elements on the homepage that aren't clickable. A dataset for any use case section, the cards in the pick an API section etc. It's a very bad user experience.

Wikimedia is who you donate to, not Wikipedia. Wikipedia is owned by Wikimedia, and Wikimedia gives money to a lot of shady causes, laundered via the donor advised funds set up by Tides Foundation. I say laundered because of how donor advis

You're right of course. But as an intellectual exercise, it might be interesting to sniff out all of the dogma tied to this particular belief system. Like, there has to be "sins" and a way to transcend and all of that other s

The Tides Foundation controls the finances. They're a donor advised fund, which operates as a non-profit PAC that launders donations made to Wikimedia through Tides and into some very questionable (depending on your ideology) causes. W

Dig deeper and you will see the finances for the Wikimedia Foundation is run by a different, very partisan foundation called the Tides Foundation.

Wikipedia isn't creating the content, so that's not true. They give away a product that is donated to them by the editors who are not paid.

Your article does not dispute what they posted. Housing discrimination by race is illegal in the US and has been for decades. We don't forcefully integrate neighborhoods though, it's up to people where they want to live.

Imagine if people didn't want to return to the office because they were getting drunk first thing in the morning. I doubt we'd consider that acceptable.

I think these are all great suggestions for anybody, but it misses the point doesn't it? There is a reason these affect men more than women, why? And how do we fix that?

As far as "safe" goes, how many deaths are we seeing from people with the Polio or MMR vaccines? As far as "effective" goes, how many people with either of those vaccines still get Polio, mumps, measles, rubella? So Poli

Polio vaccine, MMR etc. are safe and effective. You can't compare COVID vaccine to them since thousands of people are dying all the time despite being vaccinated. That's not the case with any of these other vaccines.
