   I believe that “learnings” is also a word that could be applied in this context. It seems to me “learnings” would actually be less ambiguous than “lessons”. A lesson brings to mind a thing being taught, not just learned.

   The public might though be concerned that if they are being replaced, many in other positions at other companies will soon be replaced as well.

   Made me think of the Ship of Theseus https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ship_of_Theseus but according to the article only a few parts were replaced.
