Have you looked at the https://www.sqlite.org/pragma.html#pragma_cache_size I think per default it's only 2MiB, increasing it might help. Probably won't beat the other contenders but sqlite has defaults for being

Any thoughts on the ikea koppla usb power supply? I sort of stuck with it for the price/performance/safety. Here is a teardown (might be dated): https://lygte-info.dk/review/USBpower%20Ikea%20Koppla%20UK.h...

I consider Header value parsing and URL parsing part of HTTP, those are certainly not trivial. The charset problems alone are a nightmare. Parsing the wire format is pretty breezy, (Don't forget trailers!)

Phones actually do have that option. Android bootloader supports fastboot boot of an image file on the host PC, usually a recovery ROM. Apple is certainly capable to do that and I'm even sure that this exists on their devices too.

The "competing pkg-manager" issue is still unsolved. Rarely does it makes sense to manage libraries centrally in a distro if all the developers of the language ecosystem use their own package manager. I develop java and I never ev
