Sure, but this is a remake, not an emulation of an old game. It does not need to try to reproduce the old style, rather it should work with what we have now.

Not sure about Photoshop, but in general I'd say ensure that canvas size and export size are the same. If they are not, then the ratio between them must be an integer and the resize filter is set to nearest neighbor.

Think of it as another style altogether. Graphics back then used to look the way they looked because of technical limitations. We don't have those anymore. I personally don't miss the barely readable text despite it was set in hug

That is stretching the quote fairly thin. Programming in Swift is nothing like programming in Lisp on many levels.

I think there is definitely space to at least offer some SKUs with all that, albeit at a high markup (kinda like the Mac Pro). However I think that yes, most people (including me) prefer the new to the old. Eg.: I dislike full keyboards bec

I wonder what will come sooner. Displays everywhere, or ubiquitous AR where you can share screens with nearby people. The second one could be nicer in theory as it is opt in and wouldn’t cause light pollution.

I’ve never seen a markdown flavour with anything other than 1 for italic and 2 for bold. Emphasis and strong emphasis respectively. I agree that the link to image syntax is easier to remember in html. That said, since markdown supports inli

Eh. That’s just yet another templating engine. What I like about markdown is that I can use an editor (such as iA) with previews, highlighting and style helpers.

I feel that if you reject or ignore the critics and the elaborate descriptions, you can appreciate art as you like. (And by extension consider whatever you like as art.)

For me the difference between writing markdown and writing HTML directly is that if I use the latter, I won't actually write the darn article. HTML is pretty bad for re-reading and editing, as the tags get in the way.

I wouldn’t read that much into it. Depending on the origin of the author it might be that not eating meat is just not common.

What's the problem with my logic? Google has to abide the law of countries with which it does business. Abiding laws is not a "convenience", it's something you just do. If you don't you get fined: e.g.: https:/

It's "obvious" if you take into account the corporate culture I guess. The rule of 'no magic numbers' is generally good, but then one has to remember that some numbers (like 0 and 1) are not magic.

Is this true of print articles as well? Before, when the articles had to fit a particular surface on paper, there were rules to write the article in a way that it could be comfortably cut after any paragraph and still make sense. So the fir

Eh. If you count revenue streams: - podcast ads - podcast subscriptions - merch - sponsorships - YouTube ads - nebula subscriptions That’s pretty diversified and it includes paying for content three times.

As long as they all use the same content format (like markdown + preamble) it’s relatively easy to move from one to another. Transferring themes is a pain though.
