Flipped classroom was a popular method when I was teaching math. Some students found it very helpful. The trouble was getting the students to do the reading before class. If students came in unprepared they struggled to keep up.

The main benefit of strudel is it’s much easier to get started. Maybe it’s changed but when I tried Tidal Cycles a few years ago it was a massive pita to get installed.

This was actually the main thing that put me off of Rust. I get the argument for a small std lib. I just also don’t agree it’s worth it. Go seems to handle having a batteries included standard lib just fine.
