I'm making a clone of the game ataxx [1] for iOS. (It's my excuse to learn core graphics, and some AI design) [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ataxx

looked through your comment history long enough to determine that you aren't a troll. Not everything on HN has to be about startups. (This isn't "Startup news"). HN just is about things that are interesting to hackers. Seeing that technolog

This isn't searching without pagerank. (As far as I know, blekko uses pagerank) It's just telling the search engine to ignore the first X results, which still relies on the pagerank algorithm. Searching without pagerank would be similar to

Not that impressive. Several people here have already linked to midas. Personally, I've done part of this to my dorm, and it's cool, but still not impressive considering all that and more was done some 7 years ago with midas.

I get that you want to make a joke. I also think you need to understand it's not a joke. The fact that there exists "kick a ginger day" [0] is proof that it's not a joke. Abuse is not funny, ever. [0] http://laist.com/2009/11/24/kick_a_gin

Every iOS developer has been made aware of this for quite some time now. Most of us knew it was coming before it was announced because they've been doing this every year for quite some time now. The itunes connect/app approval team needs a

You (supposedly, I haven't looked into it) can develop for iOS on a windows or linux machine. (I believe the Unreal dev kit works like that - you must develop from a windows machine.) If you're willing to figure out how to do that, I'd sugg

I'm the creator of the app. Uses fakecall.net, which was discussed a month ago. [1] Scott (the creater of fakecall.net) has been immensely helpful in creating this. I really can't thank him enough. [1] http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3

Techies forget how something as trivial as downloading and running a file can be a huge deal for the average user. I learned today that one of my friends (up until this past summer) thought that the internet was something on her computer.

Isn't it also easier to implement if you don't force the customer to go through a rather long and annoying cancel form? Win-win for the developer and the user, then.
