If your interpretation is correct, it seems that there could be some truth to the old wisdom of (gradually and willingly) facing our fears in order to develop more courage.

Extreme agoraphobia probably requires more than just simple exposure to improve. I'd recommend working with a therapist. But one thing I am curious about: during exposure, you don't have access to your frontal cortex, that makes s

Not to mention that physical activity itself can be a great, immediate remedy for anxiety. A daily run does a whole lot for calming my anxiety.

I don't consider $25 for 20GB to be "very high". Of course, you can find cheaper. But $25 is less than a lunch in most places.

Cheap is relative. I pay about $25 for 20GB, which lasts me a month. Yeah, local SIM cards might have cheaper options, but I'm not complaining about $25 a month. I spend more on a single lunch.

I'm currently living in a town with church bells every hour and horses that clank by on cobblestone streets at every hour of the day or night. It's unbelievably noisy. But just like modern noise, at some point you stop consciously

I've come to the conclusion that email will never be secure. I've settled for keeping my email data out of the hands of banks and advertisers by using Fastmail, and wildcard aliases. If I were doing any kind of journalism, politic

Stating my opinion about the author's opinion isn't slander. Take it easy. And there's no reason to compare the author and me. We're talking about the opinion here, not about who holds it.

The problem with Jira is that it's not opinionated enough about what using it "correctly" means. Every company I've ever worked for that used Jira had turned it into a giant foot gun.
