I don't think that's the goal but I think sites like that perfectly faciliate a race to the bottom scenario. Why wouldn't someone bid less on a project in order to win a bid? While price isn't the only factor you have to be crazy to compete

Glad you mentioned about:memory. I usually read the changelog when they push out a release but somehow I missed that. This is a very nice breakdown of the memory.

There aren't change orders per se but usually in one of the clauses in the contract you specify that work outside of the scope (outlined in the contract), once all parties agree, will incur an additional charge or something like that.

This is a problem that goes all the way to the core. It isn't very good OO (some will argue PHP isn't really OO anyway) because core types are not objects. Whether you have substr(..., ...), Helper::substr(..., ...) or getSomeInstance()-

Same here. I usually use OpenBox then add a few commonly used programs to the menu. I often wish this was possible with Windows (might be with 3rd party software) but I understand that they have a different type of user in mind. There reall

Those are clients you probably don't want to work with anyway. The best clients are usually the ones that have a problem and need you to solve it for them, it's then up to you to use your expertise to deliver that solution. You are the prof

Exactly! I'm pretty sure it was all Lish passwords. Yesterday the news was all focused on the credit card information but now it makes sense why Lish passwords were not working (when I was 100% sure I had it correct--Friday's email said n

How is this Arch's fault? The user did the same thing he/she normally does on Linode. This is a case where the Linode ops really understand Arch and everything just works (the 'linux' package isn't installed on the image) but the provide th

No I haven't had a problem with getting an additional address in the past except for one case where I decided to get the process started before completing the purchase on GoDaddy. I just take the SNI route these days just not to be bothered

Yep but it's not automatic. I believe they still require you to file a ticket justifying why you need the extra IP address. I always found it weird needing to jump through those hoops if you are only trying to add one additional IP address

In its lifetime Ubuntu has never been bleeding edge nor lightweight compared to many other distros. I'm an Arch user all the way but I still take other distros for a test drive every so often and it amazes me the crap distros bundle togethe

Unless I'm missing something you only need to have a version Apache that supports SNI then have NameVirtualHost for your https port. If your os/distro doesn't make that version easily available then I can see how it might take extra work to

No labels/legend support for the pie charts? I haven't checked it out too closely but it seems like it would be good to have the percentage labels and what they represent out of the gate.

I still don't understand why anyone would want to use AWS unless you had money to burn. I haven't followed the prices as of a couple years ago but I'd say most people on here are smart enough to find cheaper solutions that can achieve the s

That is true, with smartphones this has changed (or should have go away). The issue isn't really about concatenating--I had nokia phones with just a keypad that did that years ago--it's the fact that often you can keep a message short and o
