I would think that string immutability has much to do with the object creation. That might be why regular expressions was such a focus of the Java 1.4 release.

If such a story doesn't sell you on the ideas of rigor and corroboration, then there's probably no hope for you. Gripping, true or not, and a reminder that we often accept as truth far more than we should.

Even though this ruling seems to be in favor of liberty, I'm disheartened to read the excerpt of the appeals court ruling in the article. We take heed of [Benjamin Franklin's] warning and are therefore unwilling to relinquish our First Ame

I love the idea behind this. I seem to recall that the previous version wasn't terribly stable on my Galaxy Nexus. I'm eager to give the new version a try.

I wonder if that's why we're seeing stories like this? http://www.foxbusiness.com/technology/2013/01/03/samsung-con... Samsung has amassed quite a history, in a very short amount of time, of heavily customizing Android for their devices.

I have always wondered what the FCC must think of the FAA for this policy. I don't know a lot about the FCC certification process for electronics that contain radios, but I know that it involves both minimizing the amount of harmful emissio

I don't see how that's helpful. English can be an imprecise language and there is a lot of unspoken convention in interviewing for a job. Many have had to learn that convention by just plain interviewing badly enough times for it to click.

If the area you're searching is more suburban or, for any other reason, mass transit isn't a factor, look at the cars parked nearby. New and well-maintained cars reflect positively on your neighbors.

I assume though that this doesn't help with the issue of exchanging the air inside the chassis. For that you still would need fans, else these new component coolers would just suck back in the hot air they expelled.
