What? They can't even put a reliable date on Froyo for the Galaxy S line in the US but they're already shifting resources to a new hotness? Could this be interpreted as a call to abandon the Galaxy S ship?

You're ascribing a lot of authority to an article. It really bears no indication of the deliberation, or lack thereof, on the part of those setting the budget.

That's a little sensational, don't you think? Virtually every morsel of our federal budget can be put in the same terms, and many are orders of magnitude larger than this.

I want to know why your server is listening on port 80 only to kick out 404 pages. If you require SSL for all traffic, then you really only have two logical choices, either only listen on 443 or redirect from 80 to 443. Now, if you only use

You timebox something to encourage immediate action. Making it permanent or even long term may encourage investors to wait for the market to improve before acting, which isn't ideal for a bill aimed at improving the market.

Of course, the problem with the question is that the OP chose cats, as if it's humerous to think of throwing a cat out of a high window. The problem at its core is the relationship between height, accelleration, and materials. What is the n

You can absolutely do that today by purchasing an unlocked handset. I think the problem is your expectation of being able to do that on a subsidized handset, where you've traded certain contract terms for a heavily discounted device.

I will give you this one though. My local power company indicates that the meter is property of the customer. Perhaps this is more common that I initially thought: http://www.dpandl.com/customer-service/dpl-policies/meter-re...

I suspect that this sort of device could be removed by the power company should they discover it.The homeowner/tenant does not, in most cases, own the meter and some power companies could consider this a modification of the meter and have i

I don't imagine there are too many Ubuntu installations in environments where this kind of SSH security is desirable. I could be wrong though, and you'd be right that this doesn't excuse them from shipping broken software. Yet broken softwa

Those Asian addresses are only banging away at your server with weak u/p combinations, so if you've implemented PKA then they're already nothing to worry about. Blocking those IP addresses does little more than filters them out of one log (

I may be wrong, but can't you essentially patent anything you want so long as it's unambiguous and no similar patents exist? Since Gowalla and Foursquare have been around for so long prior to this I'd expect the patent to be invalidated if

I'm confused. Are you or are you not notifying your customers of the added expense of supporting IE6? If you are, then I don't see how your method differs from what is stated in the post. No one is making their client "feel bad" about a bus

I don't know that full rudder deflection is really a corner case! In fact, the roll orientation of a plane shouldn't affect the effacacy of the rudder so long as the plane isn't in a slip or spin. The whole purpose of a rudder is to correct

It could just be that the aircraft doesn't need flaps. The purpose of a flap is to change the wing geometry such that the aircraft can fly at a lower angle of attack. This allows the plane to fly slower without stalling the wing. If the air
