A beginner is going to have a bad time with any language. Sure, 'nyi is not very descriptive, but an error message is not the place to teach total beginners. Unless you put some effort into learning a language (or already know somethin

It's a very good tutorial (it's not easy to find information about k7), but it is a bit outdated. For example, % is inverse and not sqrt now, and it is not possible to evaluate parsed trees with !. I am sure the differences are sm

The initial library was very based on Plan 9 and Inferno libraries. It was far of being a direct port (not even a derived work strictly speaking), but it certainly took a lot of inspiration.

That's precisely why I immediately thought of "nearly" meaning a bit more instead of a bit less. It is still no clear to me what makes "nearly" in this particular case to mean "less than". Curiously enough

You may be right, but your comment makes no difference from the ones many of us wrote after the first iPad: "what is this thing for? what problem does it solve that is not solved by a laptop or a phone?". And we were wrong, there

I agree with your criticism, but I don't get what is the problem with the first point (I am not a native speaker). Doesn't "nearly" just mean "close to" and not necessarily "less than"?

It was more a sincere question than a suggestion. I haven't written any serious Go since aliases were added and have never had any need for them so far.

Why should it be antisocial or uncomfortable? I also prefer to see my family in real life than by telephone, but that does not mean I find phones antisocial. To repeat my point: I understand there are advantages in working from home, and th

I did not know robot was considered an insult. It was just a lame joke. I apologize if it hurt you so much (ironically, this is the kind of misunderstanding that happens much less often in real life). You may have different preferences, I d

It's not always about projects. In order to be productive at a company, there is much more to do. In water cooler conversations, you learn who you have to talk with for this or that, you learn about meetings you may attend to learn new

I made it in 2010: https://bitbucket.org/yiyus/ngaro/src As I said in another comment, it won't work now because Go had not yet reached 1.0 at that time, but it should be easy to get it working again.

Some years ago, I ported ngaro (the retroForth vm) to Go, and made it possible to launch goroutines and use channels. It was very cool. However, it was Go pre-1.0, so it won't work now. For a while, it was maintained by Charles Childer

Using "|" can be confusing when the sed command is part of a pipeline. I agree with the other user that the comma character is more used. It is slightly easier to type too.

I would not call Madrid's public transportation network fragile. Not at all. For most practical cases, public transport won't take longer than if you need to park a car.

In general, you can implement anything with any programming language. Having a particular nice syntax (and semantics) usually is what makes a language better suited than another one.
