Backend has become simple enough that you wouldn't have to pay much attention. The great design of this website has anything specific to do with its Rails backend?

Everyone under this branch made good points. Graduated from a top company with valuable experience is definitely a plus for this kinda scenario, but from my experience it's not a must.

How would Yahoo! acquire the user base in this case? By putting more Yahoo! apps on the screen? But users need to install them in the first place.

The worst is they shut down the product and the team was assigned work in unrelated area. I would say most of the time these companies just want to control the future of the product, it's more a defensive act.

The easiest way and properly the right way to send email is in plain text. I would be happier if the package can add a parser to read all meta data from text, in the way of HTTP header processing.

Nice article, but not that good site design. Not to mention the solutions for most of its problem are either flawed or fundamentally not correct. Author of the site wrote solutions in Python, but obviously he/she doesn't understan

Is that I'm the only one think the site itself proves Rails isn't the silver bullet to solve all web application requirement out there? You guys could have done a way better job.

I think it's the same reason that you replace Erlang with Go, because they both aim for concurrency. So in terms of writing ai programs, why can't Prolog be replaced by Lisp?
