Could this be a reason why space happens to be 3 dimensional? Like, I don't know, maybe knots are somehow important to the structure of the universe and it couldn't exist with some other dimensionality? Whenever these "magic

That's a good point, but I would ammend it slightly - Android might turn out to be a net boon for Linux enthusiasts in the next few years. I'm definitely super excited, but I still feel like the mobile Linux ecosystem is still not

Building new things is fun, maintaining what you've built not as much. I suspect most software people would agree.

Millions of people are using Linux via Android and Chrome OS, but I'm not sure the success of either of those has benefited the general Linux ecosystem in a meaningful way. I think the Steam Deck will be a similar situation. It's

Just looking at UI, though, I think the trend actually favors Linux. GNOME and KDE have made pretty huge strides in the past few years in terms of general usability and polish. Meanwhile I feel like every Mac OS and Windows update elicits n

You can install apt / dpkg (or dnf / rpm, pacman, portage, nix, ...) on pretty much any distro. You are really just asking why there's no de-facto standard package manager for C like there is for those other languages.

I mean if there was a critical bug in the solidity compiler itself that would put the correctness of pretty much every contract into question, right? It seems like a fork would be hard to argue against in that case.

As someone who has never used go, the third example feels counter-intuitive to me. I would expect a, b := 4, 2; to be equivalent to a := 4; b := 2; is there a reason it was done this way?
