Nice! It'd be cool to support everything from PostgREST, that way people can build API-based tools on top of it and directly take advantage of the performance increases: postgrest.org/ I'm working on a...spreadsheet thing or

What’s the difference between this and server sent events in http2? You don’t need a live persistent connection to issue events?

A police officer's job is keeping order, and they're paid by the state, not directly by taxpayers. So they're enforcers for whatever order the state decides works for them. If left-wing groups paid police officers to run long

You bring up a great point. Right-wing groups are highly proactive about using every lever at their disposal to advance their agenda, including infiltration of government agencies. I don't think it has to be strictly right-wing groups,

I think the reason police treat right-wing groups far more leniently than left-wing groups is because right-wing groups are much more likely to be armed and resist violently. Ruby Ridge. Waco. Oklahoma City. Right-wing groups have consisten

This is the first time I've heard of nCino. I haven't seen it mentioned on HN before. Yet it's probably more successful than many of our own ventures might be. A good reminder to stay humble and to always keep business fundam

PWAs are going in that direction, but they don't have access to native storage, notifications, and other stuff. They're still mostly webapps, which is great for portability but not great for mobile UI/UX. I want the "nat

This is nice! I want a homelab for my data, but I like AWS. It'd be cool to run my own personal database on this, and only run pg_backup to S3. RDS is too expensive for personal projects, but I'm not sure if free Heroku dynos and

Yeah, that was what I was worried about. Given how the past four years prove you can purchase a major U.S. political party for clearance prices, the bilateral security agreement underpinning Taiwan’s freedom may be gone when it’s needed mos

I'm not sure I agree with Zoom's strategy here. Adtech can get away with compromising user's privacy because users aren't customers, they're eyeballs for advertisers. Zoom by contrast does primarily B2B sales, and c

I think `jq`'s syntax is a bit different than bare JSON (I do basic stuff like `echo $CHANNELS_RESPONSE | jq -r ".public_identifier"`), I think it'd be like running a bash script as an input to a query :) Also not sure w
