I think an undo button would help. It would make experimenting to get the right solution quicker by not having to restart from scratch and take away the pain of having to restart because you accidentally interacted with the game.

The author mentions using pip freeze or pip-tools pip-compile as a solution to the indirect dependencies which are reliant on the Python environment, i.e. the platform and Python version. But from what I understand pip cross-environment usa
