This again seems like something Amazon should have built...it takes so much effort to extrapolate data points from various of APIs... or often, no APIs available at all.

I was recludant to agree woth Linus at first. Why should we avoid break hard? I understand we wany to avoid breaking user interface as much as possible - who would want to use an unstable API? But why is it better off to let things fail sil

If it is a loophole it is not legitimate. To keep business and trade IN ORDER it would be legal. I think some of the loopholes are “honeypot” just to capture potential intelligence.

The issue I observed was the both gen filled out very quickly so there was no chance for the minor to complete and just skip to major. But because the gens are consistently filled up, the JVM became "locked" doing full GC.

I am still unsure. I remember there was a talk circulating around the Internet, questioning how many people were actually in the car during the JFK assassination. Is that a fake news?

Depends on the sizing I believe. One problem I see in Java-based DB like Cassandra and Elasticsearch is JVM busy doing garbage collection. The major collection kicks in all the time. Probably because of bad config and bad data usage pattern

Exactly. This is how society works. One does not go to twenty farms to get grocery. We go to a store or two to get what we need. The source of the food are decentralized, but the platform for selling products are centralized.
